Wonderful antique carved horn brooch in the shape of a winged scarab. Detailed and translucent, this is of beautiful quality. The "stone" is artificial we think, but nicely done.

This piece is French Art Nouveau and in the style of Georges Pierre and Elizabeth Bonte, who were both renowned for their carved horn jewellery, usually of insects or birds.

We sourced these from a UK collection.
